47 Recipes to Make This Fall

We made the very most of peak summer produce, and now it’s time for something a little heartier. Butternut squash, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, figs, apples and pears are starting to fill the markets—because, yes, fall is the season to indulge in abundant fruits and vegetables alongside our favorite meaty braises. As we prepare for cooler temperatures and shorter days, we’re craving comfort food, like warmly spiced breakfasts, roasted salads, steaming bowls of soup and crocks of chili.
We’re taking the time to embrace a new nourishing ritual for extra-crisp mornings—this 10-Minute Bone Broth Soup is fortifying and filling any time of day. Then we’re dusting off our Dutch ovens to spend a weekend afternoon making Dark and Stormy–Braised Pot Roast while slicing off slivers of the Caramel Apple Snacking Cake eyeing us from the counter. And we can’t wait for candlelit dinners featuring a towering Radicchio Salad With Blue Cheese Dressing and saucy skillet of Mushrooms au Poivre.
